Merging research with artistic expression, this book explores the history, diverse cultural roots, evolving styles, and modern techniques of tattooing and piercing. The front cover, tattooed by hand on fake skin, sets the tone for what’s inside. Pages throughout the piercing chapter are pierced with various different piercings to represent a facial and ear piercing map. The beginning pages contain original hand drawn flash sheets, giving readers a glimpse into the creative process.
